(2) Double machine coordinated welding function
Sometimes we will encounter long workpieces, and the welds are distributed at both ends of the workpiece. If one robot is used for welding, the welding deformation will be inconsistent because the two ends are not welded at the same time, and the workpiece will be twisted and deformed in the length direction. It is difficult for the welded workpiece to meet the size requirements. For this type of workpiece, we often use two robots to coordinate welding at the same time, which promotes the two robots dual-machine coordinated welding technology. This technology is often used in the welding of automobile rear axles and mufflers.
Two robots correspond to a positioner driven by the external axis of the robot. There are two mirror-symmetrical parts on the workpiece placed along the length of the positioner. Two similar girth welds require two robots in the positioner. Synchronous and coordinated welding is realized while rotating. In this way, the efficiency of welding production can be doubled.
(3) Advantages of spot welding robot
If the use of arc welding robots greatly improves the stability of welding quality and welding efficiency, spot welding robots have more advantages and bring more economic benefits, mainly reflected in:
a. When robot spot welding, the pliers body and the transformer are mostly integrated, and the capacity of the transformer can be reduced to 1/3 to 1/4, which saves energy and greatly reduces the operator's heavy physical labor.
b. The spot welding robot has more control methods to control the automatic switching of welding tongs pressure and welding conditions. It can easily realize unique welding sequence for different spot positions, which greatly improves the quality of spot welding and avoids missing welding spots, excessive welding and Inaccurate location and other issues.
c. Spot welding robots have obvious advantages in dotting efficiency, which can increase efficiency by 8-10 times. We have a customer whose equipment temporarily failed. Due to the tight schedule at the time, they temporarily used manual spot welding of the same workpiece. As a result, 4 manual welding tongs could only produce 40 pieces in two shifts, while the robot was in normal production. Around 90 pieces can be completed in shifts.
d. The spot welding robot can use some unique technologies of the robot to further control the welding sequence, so as to further improve the welding efficiency and welding quality. For example, the use of electric welding tongs on the robot is not only a change in the pressure method, but its advantages are reflected in the robot's control of its stroke: ①The ideal stroke can be achieved according to the position of the welding spot; ②The welding process can be The pressure of the welding gun is controlled in sections; ③The time node of the welding condition output can be controlled; ④The gap teaching function can be used to flexibly choose the power-on teaching and power-off teaching methods, which greatly reduces the teaching time.
