CRP Biped Humanoid Robot Debuts At The World Robot Conference

On August 19, the 2026 World Robot Conference opened in Beijing. At the booth of the Sichuan Humanoid Robot Manufacturing Innovation Center, the CRP biped humanoid robot made its official debut. Standing approximately 1.6 meters tall with a human-like frame and equipped with 31 degrees of freedom, it integrates bipedal locomotion, whole-body coordination, dual-arm manipulation and multi-modal perception capabilities. Deployable in industrial manufacturing, inspection and maintenance, warehousing & logistics, public services and other scenarios, it further extends robots' boundaries of mobility and operation in complex environments.

For CRP, however, the significance of this debut goes far beyond "launching another humanoid robot". From industrial robots to wheeled humanoid robots, and now biped humanoid robots, CRP is addressing a more critical question:

From "Being Able to Move" to "Understanding Industrial Work"

Modern humanoid robots are increasingly resembling humans in form and locomotion. Yet once deployed in real industrial settings, robots face challenges far more complex than "walking steadily" or "grasping accurately". A genuine industrial task involves extensive process knowledge and experience, including material properties, process parameters, motion paths, production tact time, precision control, safety strategies and fault handling. Robots must not only know what to do, but also master how to do it, and dynamically adjust according to changing environments and tasks. This marks the biggest distinction between industrial scenarios and general-purpose scenarios, and constitutes CRP's core starting point for exploring embodied intelligence.

Instead of developing AI technologies first and then searching for applicable scenarios, CRP builds on more than a decade of practical experience in industrial robotics.
